APolyUrethane Foam Sampler (PUF)

New Star Environmental carries state-of-the-art PUF samplers, or polyurethane foam samplers. These instruments accurately determine the presence of a variety of common organic pesticides and other toxic compounds in ambient air. These advanced machines meet EPA methods to TO-A, TO-9A, and TO-13A. Each PUF sampler is made with dual chambers and uses two filtering systems to measure contaminants. The upper chamber holds the airborne particulate filter, while the lower chamber’s glass cartridge holds the polyurethane foam to trap the vapors. Each polyurethane foam sampler determines the following particulates: polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), and polyhalogenated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans.
