Series HP-200 Hotplate/Stirrers Overview

The hotplate/stirrers are equipped with a spill-proof drain to direct spilled liquid away from the unit. Hotplate models have a "Hot Top" warning light that flashes as soon as the temperature exceeds 158°F (70°C) and continues to flash until the top is cool-to-the-touch.

An optional platinum temperature probe is available to directly control and display the liquid sample temperature on the front panel over a range of 104 to 392°F (40 to 200°C).

Series HP-200 Hotplate/Stirrers Design

Model HP-240 is also equipped with a digital countdown timer that starts when the temperature reaches a preset value and it automatically shuts down with an audible alarm when the cycle time is complete. In addition, The Model HP-240 has an adjustable over-temperature setting from 50 to 122°F (10 to 50°C) for protecting the liquid.
