Close Information
These cascade impactors are used for testing aerosol drug delivery devices such as the metered dose inhaler (MDI) and the dry power inhaler (DPI) to determine the aerosol size distribution. They have sharp cut-point characteristics, low internal particle holdup, and are easy to operate. The impactor D50 diameters are 10, 5.0, 2.5, 1.25, and 0.625 µm at the standard flow rate of 30 L/min for the Model 150 and 60 L/min for the Model 160. Each model can also be operated over a range of flows: 30 - 60 L/min for the Model 150 and 60 - 90 L/min for the Model 160. A pediatric version, Model 150R, operating from 4.9 L/min to 12.5 L/min, is also available
