The New Star PTFE syringe filter is designed to filter the most aggressive solvents, acids, and base samples. These units are recommended for HPLC solvent and gas chromatography filtration. They are excellent for filtering and degassing solvents before analysis. If hydrophobic PTFE membrane is used to filter hydrophilic liquids, the membrane should be wetted with ethanol and/or isopropanol beforehand so the hydrophilic liquid can be filtered.
