Description
New Star nylon syringe filters are designed for filtration and clarification of aqueous and organic solvent samples in a wide array of analytical and research applications. Our nylon syringe filters are available in both 13 and 25 mm diameters with variations of both in pore sizes of .22 and .45 microns.
Close Information
Our nylon syringe filters are primarily used to filter small aqueous and organic samples with low hold-up volume in order to inject them directly into the HPLC sample loop systems. The filtered samples ensure column protection. Nylon membranes are also more economical than PTFE membranes, when applied to filtration of organic solvents, such as in HPLC mobile phase particle removal. Nylon membrane is not recommended for filtration of bacteria cultures, proteins, and other biologic samples, since sample loss due to absorption may occur.
