Heating Plates

Along with the elevated temperatures comes the requirement for accurate control as many reactions occur only at specified temperatures so precision is very important. When using a high temperature hot plate, the risk of boiling over is always present so care must be taken to avoid burns and heating plates should be shielded whenever possible to protect the researcher.
