Digital Hot Plates & Digital Hotplate Stirrers

Digital hot plates and digital hot plate stirrers come equipped with a magnetic stir plate when stirring is required and a heating plate when only elevated temperatures are necessary. The digital hot plate stirrers, such as the New Star Environmental M-10068, have an advantage over manual types since the stirring speed may be selected for the magnetic stir plate and the temperature may be set for the heating plate with digital read-outs.

Digital Hot Plate Stirrers

Some digital hot plate stirrers come with programmable capabilities that allow for set-it-and-forget-it operations.  Other magnetic stir plates with heating, such as the New Star NS300-HS are manually operated with a knob and are especially useful in student teaching laboratories. Likewise, the New Star NS100-S magnetic stir plate is often preferred due to its manual operating features. Porcelain or stainless steel are the most popular surfaces for the digital hot plate stirrers.
