Ambient Monitors, Gas Monitors and Supplies

Ambient monitors are vital for measuring gases in a broad range of settings. Personnel at regulatory agencies at the federal, state, and local level rely on accurate gas monitors from New Star. We carry ambient monitors that sample ambient air for three to five pollutant gases simultaneously utilizing chemical reagents and wet chemical titration. The products are equipped with a thermo-electric cooling and heating system that maintains the temperature of the SO2 bubbler and reagents, and are compact and portable to meet U.S. EPA Appendix A - Reference Method for the Determination of Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) in the Atmosphere. All of our ambient monitors are capable of operating for 24 hours or programmable for seven 7 days.

Gas Monitor Sampling Bags

In addition to offering quality ambient monitors, New Star Environmental is the manufacturer of a custom designed gas sampling bag. Our Tedlar and Teflon gas sampling bags are constructed of 2 mil film Tedlar, the preferred material for gas sampling bags. They are non-reactive, low in permeability, and extremely flexible over a wide range of temperatures. These highly popular bags are mostly commonly used for the introduction of calibration standards by stack testers, indoor air consultants, emission testing, landfill emissions, hazardous waste sampling, and ground water testing.
